Hot Fun in Summer Time!

Hello everyone!

Yes, it's been awhile since our last post, but we've had a lot going on this summer!

Jeff and I have been travelling quite a bit for work--Jeff has been going back and forth to PA to oversee his students as they have been conducting their summer research up in Pymatuning St Park. I've been doing lots of field work myself in UT, AZ, West TX, and ID. There was actually a stretch of about 1 month where Jeff and I did not see eachother! Luckily we had grandparents to come down and stay with Greyson!

We also had the chance to take two mini vacations! We went up to Bethany Beach Delaware and spent a few days with the Smiths and Grahls--old college friends--at the beach. It was delightful--Greyson and Owen, Sophie and Hadley all had a blast playing on the beach and strolling the boardwalk. As for the adults, we had a great time too!

On the same trip, we stopped in to visit the Lamb family--Aaron and Jess live in Hampton, my sister Allison came up from Raleigh, and mom and dad came down from NY. We had a wonderfult time hanging out, watching the World Cup, and going to the VA Aquarium.

All in all, a great summer so far! Check out the Picassa picture link for a bunch of new albums--everything from Crawfish festivals, patio construction, and vacation pictures! Enjoy!

Spring has sprung!

Spring is in the air! (too bad the pollen is too!)

2010 is off to a great start! Greyson is walking like a champ, he had his first birthday, and we are making the most of this beautiful weather! Greyson loves being outside (almost as much as Hayley, our greyhound does) and insists on carrying around Hayley's "chuckit" in the backyard. He's almost got the hang of picking up a tennis ball and throwing it for her! Someday....

Jeff and I have been doing a fair bit of traveling for work, and luckily, we've had the grandparents to help us out here and there. We're so lucky they can spend the time with us and we really appreciate the extra set of hands!

Take a look at the Picassa web albums--we finally got around to putting Thanksgiving, Christmas tree, and Christmas in NY&PA albums (sorry that took awhile) and as a bonus--Easter photos are up too!

Hope you are doing well, and thawing out from a long winter--Punxsutawney Phil knew what he was talking about =)

Happy 1st Birthday Greyson

Wow, what a great birthday weekend! Greyson enjoyed a cake and party on Friday night as well as a big blowout with all his friends on Saturday - that equals two cakes, lots of presents, and a great time with family and friends.

We just uploaded the pics to the Picassa Web album, so check them out - and we promise to post the pics from our winter trip up north and Christmas soon - sorry for the delay.

Now this is a big cupcake!!!!

Happy B-day to Allison as well - her and the G-man share the same birthday! Oh, and I continue to get older as well....

We are walking....

Hi everyone-

We have not posted a note in a very long time - sorry about that. We have lots of pics from the holidays, playing in the snow in NY, and time with family to post and we promise to get those up sooner than later.

For now....check out this video. Not too bad for a little guy who is only10.5 months old!

This is Greyson walking along with the Radio Flyer push cart that Gram got him for Christmas.

Happy New Year,
J, K, & G

Time has been flying!

Hello! Wow, hard to believe it'll be Thanksgiving next week--where did autumn go?

So--what's new with Greyson? Well, he's now crawling (and boy is he quick!), he has six teeth (4 on top, 2 on bottom), is pulling up, getting introduced to solid foods, and is simply a delight! He's a happy, smiling, cooing little guy, who seems to charm everyone he meets. We are so in love with this kid!

As you'll see from the new photo albums we've posted we've had lots going on! Some of the highlights: we gathered up with some friends back in October when Grampa Greg was visiting for a bar-b-q. We visited the pumpkin patch with Grammie Elaine and picked out some lovely pumpkins for Halloween. Jeff introduced Greyson to the fine art of carving pumpkins and dressing up for Halloween (Jack Black in Nacho Libre comes to mind =)).

I unfortunately missed Halloween this year, but don't feel to sorry for me--I had a wonderful time in doing some field work on Heron Island--in Australia's Great Barrier Reef! It was a work trip, but believe me, we had fun too! Aside from the coral being the healthiest and most diverse assemblage I've ever seen, it was also sea turtle nesting season and there were loggerheads and green turtles coming onshore every night to lay eggs--it was truly amazing! It was a once in a lifetime opportunity--if you ever get the chance to go, do it! You will not regret it!

Hope you enjoy the photos--we miss you all and wish you much happiness this Thanksgiving season!

Grampa Greg's Visit

Well, we had a great visit from Grampa Greg! He and Greyson had a great time jamming to classic rock, going to the grocery store, going to Octoberfest (see G's German hat), the car cruise at Old Town Spring, taking in a Pirates vs. Astros game, cooking dinner, and cruisin' around the kitchen floor getting into the dogs bowls!

We just uploaded a whole bunch of pics to the Picassa web album so be sure to check all of those out at the link to the right ---->

Thanks Grampa Greg!!! Love, Greyson
